Happy Birthday Abe! Last week I bought a miniature statue of Abe at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial. They were marked half-off from $9.75 ... so only $4 ... something ... GET 'EM QUICK! Oh, and I took this cool picture of Abe's Death Mask.
The museum sucked except for this lone artifact. Not the mask itself, but for the bizarre caption beside the mask. Apparently the death mask was made before he actually died, so the caption was written in first person, by Abe himself, describing how it felt when they pulled the mask off his face.
"It hurt a bit. As it pulled off some hairs ..." That's all i can remember, but it's much, much longer and more bizarre.
